Types of Massage
Stanton specializes in Deep Tissue, Swedish, Prenatal, Reflexology and Sports massage.
Deep Tissue-  Focuses on deeper layers of muscle tissue.  It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body, through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas.  This massage will help get the knots out.
Swedish-  The most common massage, it uses light to moderated pressure combined with broad strokes to calm the nervous system, relax the muscles and induce an overall feeling of relaxation.
Prenatal-  The technique used is similar to Swedish massage.  It helps to relieve some of the pain from carrying around the weight of the baby.  It also increases blood flow which directly affects the baby.
Reflexology-  Concentrating on the feet and hands only.  Different parts of the hands and feet are massaged that directly affect parts of the body that the client is having problems with.
Sports massage- Pre-event, mid-event, and post-event massage are all available.  Very important for the athlete, different techniques are used for each one.  Massage helps the athlete to perform at his/her best and also helps to prevent injury and speed up recovery time if injured.
